Singapore-based digital identity and mobile application security company V-Key has acquired a majority stake in local AI cybersecurity firm CloudsineAI, extending its business to secure autonomous AI agents as enterprises move beyond conventional software applications towards systems capable of executing transactions and accessing sensitive information.
The recently announced transaction marks an expansion for V-Key, backed by Singapore private equity firm Tower Capital Asia. Financial terms, including the investment amount and precise shareholding, were not disclosed.
The investment combines V-Key’s digital identity, authentication and cryptographic security capabilities with CloudsineAI’s technology to protect AI applications and monitor digital threats. The companies intend to develop integrated security offerings for organisations deploying AI agents alongside employees and conventional applications.
The acquisition comes as enterprise adoption of agentic AI creates a new cybersecurity challenge. Unlike conventional applications that primarily respond to user commands, AI agents can interact with multiple systems and carry out tasks with varying degrees of autonomy. This increases the importance of determining which systems can access sensitive information, initiate transactions and execute instructions and how those actions can be traced.
For V-Key, the transaction opens an adjacent market beyond its established identity and mobile application protection business. For CloudsineAI, the partnership provides access to an enterprise security platform with an existing customer base across regulated industries.
From Digital Identity to AI Security
Founded in 2011, V-Key provides digital identity, authentication, and mobile application security to banks, enterprises and government-linked organisations. Its core proprietary technology includes the V-OS Virtual Secure Element and V-OS App Identity platforms, which offer software-based, hardware-grade protection for digital credentials, application access, and transaction environments.
CloudsineAI operates two core cybersecurity platforms with distinct market applications. Its TraceCtrl suite focusses on securing agentic AI deployments, while its patented WebOrion technology provides website integrity monitoring and defensive protection against unauthorised modifications and external digital threats.
According to the companies, public and private sector organisations have adopted CloudsineAI’s technologies, with WebOrion serving enterprise and government customers across five countries.
The combination is intended to extend identity controls beyond human users to applications and AI agents operating within enterprise networks.
Joseph Gan, co-founder and CEO of V-Key, said that identity architecture would become a critical control mechanism as corporations increasingly embed autonomous AI agents into core business processes. He argued that basic authentication alone will prove insufficient without governed access parameters, secure cross-system interactions and the formal capability to establish accountability for automated, non-human actions.
Matthias Chin, founder and CEO of CloudsineAI, said integrating V-Key’s digital identity capabilities with the TraceCtrl platform would give enterprise customers greater visibility and control over AI deployments, including an enhanced capability to trace automated activities seamlessly across disparate applications and agents.
The underlying commercial opportunity targets a rapidly developing segment of the enterprise cybersecurity market. Corporations deploying agentic AI ecosystems must actively manage how these systems access internal software architecture, sensitive corporate data and external services, while simultaneously maintaining oversight of operational actions that may be initiated without direct human intervention.
By bringing identity verification and AI security under a single umbrella, V-Key aims to address both front-end authorisation for automated systems and continuous behavioural monitoring of their subsequent activities. However, the companies have not disclosed forward-looking revenue projections, specific customer acquisition targets or a definitive timetable for commercial product integration.
Tower Capital Asia Extends Its Investment Thesis
The transaction also represents a strategic portfolio expansion for Tower Capital Asia, which made a strategic majority investment in V-Key in February 2026.
Founded in 2016, the Singapore-based mid-market private equity firm specialises in control-oriented buyouts and privatisations. It has invested in prominent regional businesses such as AXS, BoardRoom and Eu Yan Sang. As of June 2026, the firm managed assets exceeding $900 Mn in investments and capital commitments across its active investment vehicles.
Seth Lim, senior vice-president at Tower Capital Asia, said its foundational investment in V-Key was based on the accelerating structural importance of digital identity and network trust.
The CloudsineAI transaction directly extends that investment thesis into the frontier markets of AI safety and next-generation cybersecurity, with the private equity firm identifying substantial opportunities for further technology innovation and regional expansion across Asia-Pacific.
The acquisition highlights an ongoing trend: how private equity-backed technology platforms can rapidly broaden their product portfolios by acquiring specialised capabilities in emerging, high-growth segments rather than building every complex software framework internally.
It also reflects the changing, stringent requirements of enterprise security as AI systems acquire greater operational autonomy. Conventional digital identity solutions were built to establish who can access an application or authorise a digital transaction.
Agentic AI introduces a new layer of structural complexity because software systems may be fully authorised to act, transact and execute workflows on behalf of human users or corporate entities. The pressing challenge for enterprise security providers is to scale existing authentication and access controls to these automated interactions, without compromising corporate visibility or regulatory accountability.
For V-Key, CloudsineAI offers an immediate entry point into that market via an established, commercially deployed AI cybersecurity platform. The investment’s ultimate financial success will depend on how effectively the two entities integrate their core technologies and convert growing enterprise interest in agentic AI safety into commercial, recurring contract adoption.
