More than 200 influential education leaders from over 50 countries will convene in Singapore from May 12–14, 2026, for the Better Future Forum 2026, a landmark international gathering focused on transforming education systems to better prepare students for a rapidly changing world.

Hosted by the Global Institute for Shaping a Better Future, an initiative of Teach For All, the Forum will bring together educators, researchers, policymakers, civil society leaders, and students to explore a critical global question: How can education systems develop students holistically so they can shape a better future?

Set against the backdrop of accelerating artificial intelligence adoption, geopolitical instability, and widening educational inequality, the Forum aims to create a space for cross-border collaboration and practice-led learning. Organizers say the event will spotlight innovative approaches emerging directly from classrooms and communities across five continents.

“The Better Future Forum exists because the most powerful knowledge about how to reshape education lives in classrooms and communities,” said Cheryl Fernando, Director of the Global Institute for Shaping a Better Future. “Our role is to bring those insights together with leaders who can help scale meaningful change.”

The 2026 edition of the Forum will feature sessions focused on holistic student development, educational transformation in the age of AI, and innovative leadership models shaping future-ready learning systems. A major highlight will be the Better Future Showcase, a TED-style platform where educators and student leaders present breakthrough ideas and grassroots innovations already improving learning outcomes around the world.

Confirmed speakers include Mrs. Chua-Lim Yen Ching, former Deputy Director-General of Education (Professional Development) at the Ministry of Education, Singapore; Ms. Wendy Kopp, CEO and Co-founder of Teach For All; Mr. Stanley Tan, Co-founder of Asia Philanthropy Circle and =DreamsAsia; and Ms. Chloe Tong, Co-founder of ACE Team Foundation.

The Forum’s Global Advisory Council includes representatives from leading institutions such as The Brookings Institution, OECD, Harvard Graduate School of Education, Ashoka, SEAMEO, and Teach For India.

Media representatives covering education, social impact, international development, and global affairs are invited to attend the Forum’s Welcome Dinner on May 12 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Press accreditation and interview opportunities with speakers are available upon request.

The Global Institute for Shaping a Better Future works to strengthen global collaboration among education practitioners and leaders committed to transforming education systems. The organization focuses on surfacing practical insights from effective classrooms and communities worldwide and translating them into scalable tools, evidence, and leadership development opportunities.
