Asia Pacific Strengthening Leadership to Accelerate Expansion Across Asia’s Live Entertainment Market

AEG International, a subsidiary of AEG, the world leader in live sports and entertainment, has announced the appointment of John Langford as President, APAC, AEG International, effective 1 April 2026.

In his new role, Langford will oversee the growth and strategic development of AEG’s venues and real estate across the Asia-Pacific region. He will be responsible for the performance of both existing and future venue projects, working closely with local leadership teams and joint venture partners to execute the company’s expansion plans.

The Asia-Pacific market represents a significant opportunity for AEG, which already operates a growing portfolio of venues across the region. Key sites include the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, IG Arena in Nagoya, and UOB Live Arena in Bangkok, with additional arena developments planned in Osaka and a second arena in Bangkok.

Langford brings more than 30 years of experience in live entertainment and venue management. He currently serves as Executive Vice President for Venues at AEG International, where he has led the European venue portfolio to record-breaking performance.
