RealVantage, a Singapore-based global real estate investment platform, has announced the allocation of USD 7 million in equity capital toward the acquisition of a 21-megawatt data center asset in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The transaction is structured in partnership with global alternative investment firm Arcapita Group Holdings Limited.

The asset, currently operating at 21 megawatts, has a planned expansion to 31 megawatts. This capacity enhancement is expected to significantly increase operating income and overall investment value, creating both near-term yield opportunities and medium-term capital appreciation.

This acquisition represents RealVantage’s inaugural investment into digital infrastructure, signaling a strategic diversification beyond traditional real estate sectors. The move reflects the company’s commitment to capturing long-term value driven by the rapid growth of artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and enterprise digital transformation.

The investment aligns with RealVantage’s strategy of collaborating with experienced local operators and institutional partners to access high-quality, income-generating assets in developed markets. The structure is designed to provide investors with stable, income-backed returns while unlocking value through operational improvements and asset expansion.

“Digital infrastructure is no longer a peripheral asset class. The most durable investment opportunities today sit at the intersection of technology and real assets,” said Keith Ong, Co-Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of RealVantage. “Our entry into this space reflects strong conviction in the structural demand drivers underpinning data centers, particularly as AI adoption accelerates globally.”

Minneapolis has emerged as a fast-growing data center hub, supported by robust power infrastructure, increasing enterprise cloud demand, and a favorable geographic risk profile with limited exposure to natural disasters. The region benefits from a diversified economy anchored by Fortune 500 companies, healthcare institutions, and a growing technology sector.

“Minneapolis presents a compelling case for disciplined digital infrastructure investment,” Ong added. “Its reliable power supply, strong tenant base, and low vacancy environment position it as one of the most attractive secondary data center markets in the United States.”

Arcapita, with over 30 years of investment experience and more than USD 32 billion in total transaction value, continues to expand its footprint in income-generating U.S. assets supported by strong macroeconomic and technological tailwinds. The firm operates globally across offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Middle East, and Asia.

This transaction underscores both firms’ shared commitment to capitalizing on the accelerating demand for digital infrastructure driven by AI and ongoing digital transformation trends.
