Prudential Appoints Alex Wong as Chief Information Technology Officer for Greater China

British-domiciled insurer Prudential has appointed Alex Wong as Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO) for Hong Kong, Macau, and the Greater China region. Wong will report to Lawrence Lam, CEO of Prudential Hong Kong, and Anette Bronder, Chief Technology and Operations Officer.
In his new role, Wong will oversee the end-to-end technology strategy for Prudential Hong Kong and Greater China, focusing on enhancing the digital experience for customers, employees, financial consultants, and business partners. He will also lead the insurer’s technology development across the region, driving architectural alignment, scalability, and operational resilience.
Wong brings over 30 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary technology teams in the insurance sector. He previously served as Chief Information Officer for Chubb in Hong Kong and has held senior leadership roles at Sun Life and AXA.
