International insurance broker Alea has appointed Eric Lasaygues as Head of Europe as it steps up its expansion following the acquisition of a French broker license and the opening of its Paris office.
Lasaygues will oversee Alea’s European operations, focusing on business development, strategic partnerships, and strengthening links between European and Asian markets. The company said the move is aimed at expanding its services for globally mobile professionals, expatriates, entrepreneurs, and small and medium-sized enterprises.
Alea said the appointment supports its strategy to serve clients with cross-border insurance needs and to expand its reach among an estimated 3 million French citizens living abroad. The company also acts as an official representative of the Caisse des Français de l’Étranger (CFE).
“Alea is entering a new phase of growth in Europe,” said CEO Amelie Dionne-Charest. “Eric’s international experience and leadership make him the right choice to accelerate our development.”
Lasaygues said he is joining at a “pivotal moment” for the company, citing its combination of digital tools and advisory services.
He brings more than 30 years of experience in insurance and finance, including senior roles at BNP Paribas Cardif, co-founding brokerage network CBP, and serving as Deputy CEO at Kereis. He has also held an executive committee role at CNP Assurances during its partnership with La Banque Postale.
A certified member of the French Institut des Actuaires, Lasaygues graduated from ENSAE Paris with a degree in economics and statistics and is fluent in four languages.
Alea operates across Europe and Asia, specializing in insurance solutions for internationally mobile clients.
