LGT Appoints Anchalee Bunsongsikul as CEO of Thailand Wealth Management Business

Veteran banker to lead Thailand operations as LGT accelerates Asia-Pacific expansion strategy

LGT Group, the Liechtenstein-based private banking and wealth management firm, has appointed Anchalee Bunsongsikul as Chief Executive Officer of LGT Securities (Thailand) Limited, effective May 15.

The appointment forms part of LGT’s strategy to strengthen its presence in Thailand and expand its wealth management business across the Asia-Pacific region.

Anchalee brings more than three decades of experience in international banking. Prior to joining LGT, she served as President and Chief Executive Officer, Thailand and Representative Offices, at Standard Chartered Bank. Her experience spans corporate banking, financial markets and client coverage, with a strong focus on serving Thai clients and entrepreneurs.

“Thailand is an important market for us, one where we have built a strong market position through a consistent, relationship-led approach focused on serving Thai families and entrepreneurs,” said Henri Leimer, Chief Executive Officer of LGT Private Banking Asia Pacific.

Karn Karuhadej, Managing Director and Senior Market Adviser at LGT, said Anchalee’s leadership experience and market expertise would further strengthen the firm’s franchise in Thailand and support its regional growth ambitions.

In her new role, Anchalee will also join the Executive Board Asia Pacific of LGT Private Banking.

LGT has been expanding its footprint in Asia since opening its first representative office in Hong Kong in 1986. The group launched its Thailand wealth management business in 2019 and has since established a Bangkok-based team of relationship managers and investment consultants serving Thai clients.

The firm currently operates across Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Australia, India and the Middle East, employing around 1,800 people across the Asia-Pacific region. LGT said it ranked as the sixth-largest private bank in the region in 2025, with USD 164 billion in assets under management at year-end.
