Alea Insurance & International, an Asia-based mobility and international health insurance broker operating via Alea.care, has announced its expansion into Europe with the opening of a new office in Paris and the successful acquisition of a French insurance broker license (ORIAS).
The expansion marks a significant milestone in Alea’s global growth strategy, positioning the company as a licensed intermediary in France and strengthening its ability to serve clients across both European and Asian markets.
“This move positions Alea as a key licensed intermediary in France, bridging the gap between European and Asian markets,” the company said in a statement.
As an official partner of the Caisse des Français de l’Étranger (CFE) in Asia, Alea provides tailored health insurance solutions for French and European expatriates, families, and SMEs navigating the complexities of international healthcare coverage.
With licenses across multiple regions, Alea’s platform offers access to more than 300 insurance solutions from 35 insurers. The company said its expansion into Europe will enable it to deliver clearer, more accessible, and relevant insurance offerings in a key strategic market.
“Opening our Paris office is not just about a new location; it’s about introducing a new standard of personalized, independent advice to the European market while being closer to clients, insurance providers, and partners,” said Julien Mathieu, Co-founder and CEO of Alea. “We have been seeing continued growth and are now taking the next step to simplify health insurance, in line with our ambition to build a leading international player.”
Founded in Hong Kong by Amelie-Dionne Charest and Julien Mathieu, Alea continues to expand its global footprint with a focus on improving access to international health insurance and enhancing customer experience through its digital platform.
