Ceres Power Holdings plc (“Ceres”), a leading developer of clean energy technology, today announced the launch of Ceres® Endura™, its flagship solid oxide stack platform designed to deliver efficient, resilient, and scalable onsite power for data centres and other energy-intensive industries.

Ceres® Endura™ has been developed to address growing global demand for reliable power solutions amid increasing grid constraints. The platform enables rapid deployment, with systems capable of being installed and commissioned within months, significantly reducing reliance on traditional infrastructure upgrades.

Built on a flexible architecture, the platform supports operation on natural gas today while enabling a transition to hydrogen and other low-carbon fuels in the future. It also aligns with modern data centre requirements, supporting high-voltage DC systems up to 800V and beyond.

“Ceres Endura turns decades of solid oxide development into a mature platform that’s ready for scale and built to last,” said Nick Lawrence, Chief Product Officer at Ceres.

The platform is engineered for scalability and cost efficiency. Its steel-supported cell design operates at lower temperatures compared to conventional solid oxide technologies, allowing the use of widely available and recyclable materials. This approach reduces overall system costs by up to one-third while mitigating supply chain risks, enabling large-scale manufacturing across power and hydrogen applications.

In power generation, Ceres® Endura™ delivers electrical efficiency exceeding 65% when operating on natural gas and can achieve over 90% total efficiency in combined heat and power (CHP) configurations. The system is designed to maintain performance over its lifetime, with a five-year stack life and the ability to handle dynamic operating conditions, including rapid load changes and emergency shutdowns.

For hydrogen production, the platform offers significant efficiency gains. When integrated with industrial heat sources, it can deliver approximately 30% higher efficiency than conventional low-temperature electrolysis, supporting more cost-effective hydrogen generation at scale.

Ceres’ partner-led model enables local manufacturing and faster market entry, providing companies with access to both power generation and hydrogen production opportunities through a shared technology platform.

The launch of Ceres® Endura™ marks a significant step in advancing scalable clean energy solutions, positioning the company to support global decarbonization efforts across multiple sectors.
