Swiss private bank Lombard Odier has appointed Edwin Tan as Head of the Southeast Asia market, strengthening its leadership team as it expands its wealth management operations in Asia.
Tan will be based in Singapore and report to Omar Shokur, Regional Head of Private Clients for Asia. He will be responsible for building and leading a new Southeast Asia market team, supporting Lombard Odier’s continued investment and expansion across the region.
The bank said the appointment reflects its strategy to deepen client coverage and enhance service capabilities in key Asian markets.
Tan joins from DBS, where he most recently served as Head of Markets for Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. During his tenure, he played a key role in rebuilding DBS Thailand’s onshore business and expanding talent across regional markets.
He brings nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, having also held senior roles at Credit Suisse, Siam Commercial Bank – Julius Baer, and Deutsche Bank.
“Lombard Odier is in full expansion mode in Asia and the appointment of Edwin reflects our continued commitment to investing in senior industry talent to drive this growth,” said Omar Shokur.
The appointment comes as Lombard Odier continues to scale its private banking footprint in Asia, with a focus on Southeast Asia as a key growth region.
