Singapore-based insurer Great Eastern Holdings has appointed Andrew Khoo as Chairman of its Board, effective 15 April 2026, according to a company filing.

Khoo succeeds Soon Tit Koon, who will retire from the board after serving since January 2016, including the past three years as Chairman.

Khoo joined the board of Great Eastern in September 2025 and also serves as a director at its parent company, OCBC Bank.

In its statement, the insurer said the board approved the appointment after considering the recommendations of the nominating committee and reviewing Khoo’s qualifications, experience, and capabilities.

“The board is of the view that Dr. Khoo has the requisite experience and attributes to assume the duties and responsibilities of chairman,” the company said.
