HSBC Strengthens China-ASEAN Corridor with Key Appointments in Singapore

Singapore, March 2, 2026 – HSBC has announced the appointment of two senior executives in Singapore to enhance its proposition for the China-ASEAN corridor and support the bank’s growing cross-border client base.

Ying Wang has been appointed Head of Distribution, International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB), reporting to Ashmita Acharya, Head of IWPB – Singapore. In her new role, Wang will oversee all sales and service channels, including the international wealth hub, direct sales, and contact center operations. She will lead the team in designing, unifying, and scaling omnichannel distribution strategies. Wang brings over 20 years of experience in wealth management, product development, customer acquisition, and digital channels, most recently serving as Head of Wealth and Premier Solutions, HSBC China.

Irene Zeng has been appointed Managing Director, Head of Business Development, China Corridor, Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB), reporting to Gilbert Ng, Head of Banking – Singapore, CIB. In this newly created role, Zeng will focus on strengthening HSBC’s support for Chinese businesses and entrepreneurs with cross-border expansion into Singapore and the broader ASEAN region. She will collaborate closely with CIB’s global network banking team, as well as product and functional partners, to deliver the bank’s full suite of services to clients. Zeng has over 25 years of experience in corporate and transaction banking and most recently served as Head of Global Payments Solutions, HSBC China.
